The Global Innovation Summit

Following Swiss Biotech Day 2026, Ness Therapeutics Inc. participated in the Eureka Global Innovation Summit 2026 in Basel. The event was organized within the Eureka network and led by the Swiss Eureka Chair, represented by Innosuisse.

The Summit brought together more than 1,000 participants from across the global life sciences community and was designed to help companies build international partnerships and access non-dilutive funding pathways across borders. Its focus on translational R&D, CMC, quality, and innovation services aligned closely with the development path of N001 as Ness Therapeutics continues advancing toward first-in-human readiness and building international partnerships as a Canadian biotech company.

A Keynote That Set the Frame

The Summit opened with a keynote from Simon Michel, CEO of the Ypsomed Group, offering a business perspective on how innovation will shape the next decade, including global challenges, industrial competitiveness, and long-term prosperity.

The framing resonated strongly with where N001 sits: at the intersection of therapeutic innovation, pandemic preparedness, and deployable platform thinking. The conversations that followed in Basel reinforced the relevance of host-directed antiviral approaches in a global environment increasingly focused on preparedness, resilience, and scalable respiratory protection. Biopôle, Lausanne

The day continued with a visit to Biopôle in Lausanne, one of Europe’s largest life sciences campuses and a central node in Switzerland’s Health Valley.

Home to more than 180 life sciences companies, five major research institutes, and a community of over 3,500 people, Biopôle operates with a collaboration rate exceeding 60% between industry and academia. It also offers funding support, mentoring, talent connectivity, and investor access, making it a highly relevant ecosystem for Ness Therapeutics as the company advances its European partnership strategy within the broader Swiss biotech ecosystem.

The Vaud Opportunity

Biopôle’s location in the canton of Vaud adds further strategic weight. Vaud represents one of the most significant R&D concentrations in western Switzerland’s Health Valley, with more than 2,000 technology companies, over 70 research and academic institutions, and more than 40,000 people working across the life sciences.

For Ness Therapeutics, the region presents a compelling platform for future partnerships, clinical and development connectivity, and long-term European positioning.

The Reception to N001

Across Basel and Lausanne, N001 generated meaningful engagement from investors and ecosystem stakeholders.

Discussions focused on the program’s positioning as a host-directed, intranasal prophylactic designed for prevention and early post-exposure use across respiratory virus threats. The consistent signal across these conversations was that N001's development path is highly relevant to broader needs in pandemic preparedness, outbreak response, and frontline protection. As Ness Therapeutics continues advancing through IND/CTA-enabling development, the company’s participation in the Eureka Global Innovation Summit further reinforces the international momentum building around N001 and its potential role in next-generation respiratory virus protection.

N001 is currently in IND/CTA-enabling development, supported by funding from the Government of Canada and in partnership with the National Research Council of Canada. To follow the program's progress or explore investment and partnership opportunities, visit www.nesstherapeuticsinc.com/contact-us.
